adding an amp

hey guys, i own a 1995 nissan maxima gle with a bose system in it. i want more thump in it so im thinking of adding an amp to it. what i had in mind was a 4 channel amp pumping out 50-150 watts to the rear speakers and the front door speakers and just leave the tweaters the way they are... is that alright or should i do something else?
thanx

Prior to hooking up the amp, you will need to pick up a Converter which will allow you to use the bose head unit along with an aftermarket amplifier. You will also need to upgrade the speakers due to the different impedence (ohm).

+1

You should be able to balance out your sound without changing or amplifying your inside speakers, but if you have your mind set on adding and amp to them, then you will need to get some new speakers and also you will be looking at rewiring the car because you will have to upgrade all speaker wire.
