newbie question....where to hard-wire cigarette lighter 4 port hub?

I just bought a 4 port cigarette lighter hub and want to cut the main end off and wire the hub so that it is only powered when my ignition is on? where should I wire the 12v (the red wire) and where should I wire the ground (black wire)? so that the hub is only powered and therefore all the devices in my hub are powered only when my car is on? I guess this would be a lot like hard-wiring a radar detecter so that it only works when the car is on....I have a 95 maxima by the way....??!?!!????

This is really easy, go directly to your fuse box, select a fuse like your lighter or radio, something that has power only when your key is on the second click. Pull the fuse and shove the wire in, then push the fuse back in and ground the negative wire, should be a few good places on the left quarter panel. That should do it. If you want it all clean looking go to radio shack and buy a fuse insert. It goes in with your fuse and leaves a male output lead. Then you can get a female connector and plug it in. When I had my tach and gauges I had about 6 different wires running into my fuse box. Never had a problem. Plus this eliminates you tapping into your main ignition.
