Bose speakers are good for a FACTORY UPGRADED system. Change out the headunit and everything goes south. That's why I dumped the headunit and now am dumping the garbage speakers.

Bose home stuff looks good but sounds like ****.... Bose is a marketing machine that makes people believe it's the best. I use to be in the electronics field and the saying was "No highs, no lows, must be Bose"

The demonstrations that they give in the Bose stores are just smoke and mirrors. The room has been treated to give the absolute best sound and the source material has been chosen to minimize the Bose flaws. Finally, it has been EQed to sound good. Take your own CDs/DVDs and see if they will let you listen. There are numerous stories on home theater sites of people trying this and no one has reported any success. Better sound through marketing.

The only thing I don't agree with in the article is the comment on foam surrounds. There is nothing wrong with today's UV resistant compressed foam surrounds. If there were, companies like Adire would not use them on the Brahma and Tumult.

I agree, these bose speakers are absolute garbage. The premium system in my ford taurus was a better system. This bose system in my maxima seems to magically miss certain frequencies and the bass response is the same thump from any song. I can't wait until this system is overhauled
