This is the system I bought

I finally bought a system after much debate on what to buy.
Here is what I got:

Front speakers are Boston Acustics rallye series 6.5" with crossovers and tweeters.
Rear speakers are Infinity reference series 6.5" (not amped)
Sub is JL 12w3v2
amp is soundstream 5700 I think. IT is big anyway. 300W to the sub and 200W to the front speakers I think. I am running the rear speakers off the deck alone which is an Alpine 9830 mp3 wma motorized face blah blah blah. It plays the cds well.
THe sub box is custom and has the sub on one side and amp on the other facing out. The rear middle section of the box is plexi glass and I have put an 18" blue neon and i have painted the inside of the box white. I have stolen the old pull down the armrest in the rear seats and see the sub from the backside that many of you have done as well. Thanks to all for the imput and keep it coming. I knew nothing about stereos before this and now I have an understanding (still a bit hazzy but I do get it a bit)
I went with BA, Infinity, alpine and JL because most of you have had good things to say about them. I hope I made a somewhat good choice for my first real car audio system

One 12w3v2 is loud enough for me as I have 2 children under 3 years old. If I was single no kids I would have gone with 2. It still pumps with one. If you are looking for good loud bass I am sure you will get it with two.

yeah maybe i will but not now. I will do it if i don't like the sound. I will have to find a small amp to do that as it is only the rear door speakers. Like 75 watts RMS. Any good little amps? Maybe a JL2150. THey are small and I think they are pretty good.

In my car there was just a piece of cardboard behind the armrest leading to the trunk. I just ripped it out and voila, the trunk

my buddy installed em today after work at CC. i had him put on late night tip... it sounded very respectable... but i opened his trunk and only 1 sub was moving. i left because it started to pour but an hour later my friend went over and heard both subs working with late night tip and was very very impresses. hopefully ill hear em tomorrow to give you a full review.
