5th Gen Maxima SE / Replace All Speakers

I want to replace all the speakers in my 03 Maxima which has the 6 cd in dash Bose system. Can someone please help me. I like the headunit and want to keep it. Is there a way to get better speakers like JL Audio and haven them in there instead of the crppy OEM speakers.

You can purchase an adaptor which will allow you to use your bose radio and add an aftermarket amp and speakers. The following is a great site which can answer some of the questions you may have in regards to upgrading your system while retaining your Bose head unit. They also sell the interfaces that you will need.

That linkmeup site is pretty good, I used their wiring harness adapter. What they don't tell you is that you really don't need the signal level converter. I used the Four.1 from Audiocontrol and mounted it in the center arm rest. You just need a line driver that can handle a balanced signal.

Since the head unit has no ampplification there is no easy way to just change the speakers. You basically need a whole system...amps, speakers, subs, etc.

Sounds like that is his intention by the mentioning of JL Audio equipment. Most likely will need all of that if thats what he's thinking of going with.

use what I use, PAC AOEM-NIS2. I have them in stock and ready to go for $39.95 shipped. I bought a carton of these and I'm blowing them out.

Those products are bit steep, but good info on the basics of upgrading car audio and retaining your OEM Bose and Non-bose HU's.
