I just wanted to know what i need to install an amp and a sub enclosure in my '97SE with the bose system. Is this something i can tackle myself? Also i want to install a switch on the console somewhere so i can turn the amp on and off. Has anyone done this before and can you tell me how to wire it? Thanks in advance

Probably like 50 bux by an installer.

Not to steep. And you know its done correctly. I never looked at a bose so I can't help you with that. You need to find the remote wire and extend it to the trunk,(it may be connected to the power antenna wire), and you need RCA outputs to run to the trunk. You'll need a power source for the amp in the trunk, a wire from the battery. And finally a grounding point.

I suggest letting a pro do it for $50 or so. Unless someone else responds with some knowledge, I know that someone did this. Then just look and see what the installer did so you know how it all works for future reference.
