*BOSE** system gets quieter in front when bass hits

Hey guys,
when my "bass" hits in stock 00 bose system and its up loud, the speakers in the front get a little quieter then when there is no bass. This leads me to believe the factory amp doesn't have enought juice to push its own speakers. anyways, have you guys had this happend? is there a gain adjustement on the factory amp? and lastly if i use the PAC adapter with a AM sub and amp do yall think it will go away?

thanks for the help

i havent experienced it at all. sounds like a bad connection somewhere and the power is "leaking out". or maybe bad battery or alternator

I have to agree with Soonerfan. I had problems with my old car's stereo when my battery was dying (or was it my alternator). My old amp would cut out for no reason (that I knew of). I'd check the charging system.
