Bose Radio malfunction

When I got into my car this morning, the CD was hanging out of the cd playerand the station presets were gone. In addtion to this situation, I found that most of the controls for the radio no longer work.

What is going on here?!?!?

I believe the answer is the first word of your post title.

Wish I had a better explanation than that for you, sorry man.

I would imagine it would pry have something to do with power to the unit.. like when you hook up an aftermarket, the yellow wire ensures your player retains its settings. Just a thought.

Mine is even worse, for months, the display would fade in and out, and I have yet to come up with why, or even a pattern of when it would happen. Just the other day, after the dimming got really frequent, the cd player stopped functioning! Itll take a cd, think, then spit it back out, not having even spun it around.. F**k'n Bose. Ive hated Bose since Ive had to use a high/low converter to hook up my amp for my subs..

Let me know if you get the problem resolved.

****update************

the problem fixed itself. We've been getting a LOT of rain in the DC area and I think the excess moisture may have caused the crap o BOSE to freak out! When I got in my car, later that day, everything was back to normal. The only other explaination that I can think of is that something on the CD-R affected the stereo ( I have seen this happen with AWIA stereos and CD-Rs). Anywho, for now, it's all good...or as good as it gets with BOSE.
