im pretty sure this is a re post, but what guage wire kit should i use for a alpine type R 12 in sub, and a 500 watt logic amp? im hooking it up to my stock bose sound system in my 99 max SE, thanks for the help

I would go...with a decent h/u and speakers before hooking up anything to a sh!tty bose system, but thats just me.

you could get away with 8 gauge on a 500 watt amp. But id go with 4 in case you ever want to upgrade later. Do it right once, it will save you in the end. Plus, it mainly depends on the current draw of the amp, ive seen really cr@ppy amps like lanzar or something say they are 2000 watts when they only draw 60 amps of current.

4awg will be fine and will leave room for minor upgrades later.
