Removing Head Unit

Are any special tools required to remove the head unit? I got it down to only being held in by the 4 bolts on each side where it lists the bolt pattern but was unable to get those bolts out

nothing special. Just follow the directions and watch your fingers when you pull out the ac control panel.

I ended up buying new brackets from Dave B. They were a ***** to get out and I ended up stripping one of the screws. I said "f**k it" and got new ones. Good luck.

Yeah, I believe Nissan uses "loc-tite" to hold those bolts in. Maybe it's supposed to be a security feature??? I ended up loosening one bolt and drilling out the rest!
