alternator

yo i'm just wondering iff you start ur car on and let it warm up and then dissconnect the battery while the car is still running , will the car turn off? it should stay on right?? is this a way to test if ur alternator is goin bad???? anyone??>??

the car should still run if you did that. it is one way to see if you have a bad alternator, but its not the only way to figure it out. take it to a shop and have it tested if you have any concerns.

yeah most parts places will check out your charging system for free.

That's an old school way to check if your alternator is totally dead. Just pull into an Autozone or Pepboys and they'll check it for free.
