You can.....i had one set to my alarm on my black camaro. It's pretty simple, i had it mounted to the windshield on the top, in front of the rearview mirror. If i recall, it has 3 wires. My friend hooked it up, it was connected to my factory alarm LED, so when the alarm was on it would go from side to side. Even if it was tripped, it would go in a different sequence.....it looked pretty cool on the camaro.

yea but where would i mount it in the maxima? Not sure about the back of the mirror.. might look a lil tacky.. And i will have to find a way to run the wire all the way down to the LED without exposing it...

You actually couldn't see it on mine cuz the top blue tint on the window was so dark. You had to walk up to the car in the day and look straight at it to see it (if it wasn't on) I had this one it's called the Varad ELS500 Series Electroluminescent SCANNERS i think ??? As you can see, it's real thin and is about 15" long, 3 wire hook up and the wires are pretty long. I had mine mounted in the same place and that beamer and ran the wires across the top of the window, down the A pillar and down into my fuse box. That's where i connected the wires. The strip is self adhesive and you can change the pattern, i think they have like 7 or so different patterns. I bought this back in 98 or 99, can't remember.
