Need Recomendations on an amp

i got 2 jl w6v2 subs and im looking for an amp to pound it, just want to see what some of your recomendations were i really wanted the jl 1000/1 but its a little bit too much cash for me

i have tried the alpine 1000 ( i cannot remember the model #) it was awesome. i had to take it out cause i needed more cargo space in the trunk. the only thing about the alpine was that it got extremely hot. I had to lay down the rear seat in the summer. i guess you could put fans to keep it cool...but there are other good ones. i think audio bahn(SP) is also good...

wow that car is sick...but anyways try going to onlinecarstereo.com and lookin for the Rockford Fosgate 1001bd. thats the one i think id buy if i bought 2 JL6v2's but since im only gonna get probably one i think the 501 is enought for me. but definetly check it out...much cheaper than the JL amp

what size subs? i assume at least 10's or 12's cus you wanted a 1000watts... look on ebay for an Orion XTR (these are ridiculous), Kenwood Excellon (sp?) or almost any Soundstream amp. (not Soundtorm, Soundstream). These are all excelent brand amps and will give you plenty of power. BTW, excellent choice of subs, i have some JL's myself

I was very happy with my Crossfire VR1000d and my MTX 1501d.. Either are great amps..
