Time to finish the car, need system opinions
Finished everything I'm going to do as far as performance and looks with my 2000 Maxima, so its now time to do the sound system, which finishes the car. I already have a JBL BP300.1 amp for the the two JL Audio 10w0 subs, in a custom box. But I need advise for the rest of the system.
I'm looking at Focal 165V2 6.5" components for the front doors, Focal 130CA 5.25" coaxial for the rear doors for fill(I have these already, couldn't pass up a deal), and a JL Audio 450/4 amp to drive these. For the head unit looking at the Alpine 9835.
Since I'm one of the older guys on the Org, my taste in music is classic rock-Zeppelin, Clapton,Stevie Ray Vaughn,Van Halen,etc; some alternative-Alice in Chains, Nirvana,Guns & Roses; some newer hard rock I guess you would call it-Creed, Alter Bridge.....you get the idea. Either way, does this system sound like it will give me what I want - clean, controlled, the bass is a compliment to the highs and mids, your basic guitars, drums, lead vocals type of group. You see my price range by the components I picked. Any feedback appreciated.

Hmmm.. head units... Check the local Tweeter shops for good buys on Eclipse gear. they're not going to carry it anymore and are dumping all of their display models and stuff they can't send back below cost. this was about a month ago, but you may be able to find one of their higher end units still out there. they had one at the BayBrook Mall location for about $350 and it was an $800 head unit...
otherwise, you know what my car sounds like... well sorta. not sure if you've had a good listen in mine or not.. but I'm running the focal 165K2 mids and the KS tweeters... the 165V2 will likely ber very comparable to them. give them a ton of power and you'll be happy.. the JL amp will do exactly that.

I "think" I see Focal's levels of "Poly". I have these ranked from highest to lowest on the Focal scale. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Of course, this also translates from most to least expensive.

I need to have a really good listen to yours before I buy, but with a couple of MY CD's!!
