I recently purchased a Blaupunkt Bahamas HU to replace my 5 year old sony cdxm650 HU(freakin laser busted 3 times, got fed up) i have a 12" pioneer sub in the trunk hooked up to a "newer" amp, last years mtx 350watt amp to replace my old 200 wat amp powering my sub. i have infinity reference series up in the fron and stock rears. now before i rip out my front speakers, will i notice a notciable difference if i hook up my old 200watt mtx amp to my two front speakers. the front speakers are rated at 120max and 60 rms.

so my question is will the 200watt mtx amp be good enough to hear a noticable difference in sq, compared to the output of the HU?

You will notice a difference........the head unit is putting out what 15-20watts of power RMS(if even that) and the amp is going to push probably around 60watts rms

Go for it and amp those speakers...
