keeping antenna down

keeping antenna down

so i have a pioneer headunit and my antenna goes up everytime i have a cd in i know i can wire a switch to keep it down like araffio did but what do i wire it to.... the big signal wire or something from the harness

i'd like to know this too. when i had my stock bose unit in there, when the cd player was on the antenna was down and when i switched to radio it would go back up. with my pioneer 7600mp the antenna is up as long as it is on either cd or fm or am. 90% of the time i am listening to cds and dont want the lame antenna up anyways.

just put a switch onto the power antenna lead coming from the harness, i dont remember what color it was, but its either gonna be spliced into the remote line or your power wire i think those are the only 2 connectins that will make it work

or, if your headunit has a clock, pull the fuse for the antenna
