2004 Bose system problem

My headunit has been sending the audio output to the right-side speakers only on certain CD's. It doesn't matter whether or not they were burned or purchased from stores. Is this a car defect or something with the CD's? Thanks!

I do not know if this is informative to you or not. The 5th gen Maxes with the Bose system has a known defect that causes the left side speakers to cut out on cd only. They work fine on radio and tape. I do not know if Clarion makes the decks for Bose in the 6th gen. They do for the 5th. Maybe it is a manufacure problem. Try them in another car or cd player and if they work fine, take your car to the dealer.

That helps a lot. Next time I go out with one of my friends, I'll have them play my CD. Like I said, it happens to some CD's;burnt or bought, it doesn't always play on the left side. O'Neil Nissan is getting a call ! Thanks again!

Well, I figured out that it is a problem with the sound system. The cd's in question were playing through both sides the other day, and now they will only play through the passenger side speakers. I am going to have to have my car serviced. Do you know what they'll do to it? Will they just replace the HU? Thanks!
