having difficulty with amp tuning

hey guys im currently running a 12" Jbl w12/audiobahn 2200hcq/obcon 12" ported enclosure, but i have no clue what hz mean on the amp, i was reading on the jbl website that for spl it should be at 60hz for 2.85 cubic ft of air. how do you guys tune your amp? what frequency should i have it at? and the gain? any help would be appreciated

you dont want anything over 250hz to the sub, so set the amp filter to low-pass and htta should cover it. As far as gain is concerned, you gotta tweak it to sound right with your internal speakers, so your sound is not overpowered with bass.
