The Radio in my car cuts off and resets everytime i turn the car off and on. its annoying as hell to reset all the presets. I didnt do the wiring and thats how the car was when i bought it. The only thing that i did was run connectors to the rear speakers cause it was off. Is this suposed to happen cause its an 89 or did they do a bad install. thanks in advance.

 

I'd guess on the bad install. If you take the HU out, the yellow wire needs to be connected to a constant voltage wire.(always has 12V on it, even with car off) It sounds like it is connected to an ignition wire, meaning that it goes to 0volts when you shut the key off.
