Satellite radio

I just got a new system a few months ago. It is XM ready, but I want to get Sirius instead. Is this possible?

I am not sure if you can get Sirius with an XM ready headunit. You may need to sell that headunit to a buddy and buy a new head unit. I am sure that was not the answer you were looking for, but I think that may be your only option.

I personally have XM and LOVE IT! I have had it for about 2 to 3 years now and it has been great!

You could also go to the store like Circuit City or Best Buy and ask the sterio guys there if you can get Sirius on your XM, or go to the Xm website.

Hope this helped. Good luck.

no you cannot get sirius on an XM unit...you will need the seperate display with an FM modulator...but just get XM and wait becuase in 05' FCC is making XM and sirius able to get the same channels as eachother...AKA sharing their stations. so with my XM i will get sirius channels and with sirius i can get XM channels

that does not sound right.......there is no way that XM and Sirius will have the same stations....that is what makes them different from eachother....different programing.....

as it comes to getting sirius on a XM deck..the answer is no...not possible....u can get a seperate sirius unit(sportster, jokey, JVC) and FM Mod-it...or change ur deck to sirius ready and get a dedicated tuner and ur set.....

+1 Alpine just came out with the Sirius tuner box, Pioneer will be coming out with a Sirius adapter in 05. And longboarderphil who told you that you will be able to hear each other's channels. I install for CC and that sounds like a bunch of horse cr@p to me.
