Remote Start: Does our factory alarm have 'Auxiliary Output'? (2002)

Hi Guys,
I'd like to add a Remote Start (only) to my 2002 GLE's factory alarm system. I'd like it to work with the factory keyfob.. nothing more, nothing less.

An installer recommended the Valet 561R, which comes with one ugly remote, that he says will replace my factory keyfob. After researching, I think I want the Valet 561T instead, which he seems to know nothing about. The 561T comes with no remotes and uses your original factory remote. In either case I also have to get a 556U immobilizer, which will use up my valet key (which is OK)

The question I have is whether or not this will work with our Nissan factory alarms. It requires that the original system have an 'auxiliary output'.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks!!

Yes it can be done. Although there isnt an Auxilarily output. Typically the lock button on your remote is used to activate remote start by pressing it twice.

You can just put in the Viper, theres nothing that needs to be removed or bypassed. OEM "alarm" arms with lock, and disarms with unlock.

Yes that can be done, but its more of a PITA then just using a combo unit....

i think APC makes them...you should look into it.

the car comes with a factory alarm wire from your factory theft module. viper comes with a wire to shut this off temp while car is started.

remote starter unit

so i can add a remote starter unit and keep my viper 300 alarm...
for this set up to work,
i first have to
1. disable the alarm ( viper )
2. remote start the car.

and then i would be able to lock/unlock the doors with the remote starter
remote..

I just got my Valet 561T remote starter in the mail. This is the one that has no remotes, it is triggered by a wire. A quick look at the manual shows that there is a choice of 2 trigger wires that I can use, either a '+' and a '-'.

I'm no expert. But if you were to use this particular model, you could:

A) Use an aux(?) output wire from your current alarm to trigger it. This might allow you to use a dedicated or combo-press on your existing Viper remote.
or:
B) Connect the 561T's trigger wire to your door locks. Program it to start on 2 or 3 presses. You would then be able to press 'lock' on either of your remotes to start the car.

Like I said, I'm no expert.. but the above might work.

ok,,
i have an existing viper 300 alarm...
i just puchased an dei rattler369d remote starter.
i dont mind using both remotes and basically will only use the remote starter
when the car is in the driveway..
so can i have both units working together.

for me to start the car with the rattler unit.
i believe i first have to disarm the viper alarm and then use the rattler to start the car...

i know the viper has a disarm wire... can i use that to interface with the
remote starter.
