INFINITY KAPPA 62.5i 6.5"

Who has these? Im thinking about buying a pair soon so i was wondering if they fit well in the front, if they sound nice, and if they will last me. Thanks in advance for your help...

I have the kappa perfects up front and am powering them with an alpine amp. They sound amazing. If you are planning on powering your speakers with an external amp, I would recommend spending the extra money and getting the kappa perfects.

sweet, thanks! I just got a free 800 dollar 5 channel JL amp, so im planin to hook up all four speakers to it. I have a pair of rockford fosgates right now in the back, and they sound great (but they completly overpower the fronts) so im thinking get some nice components up front and il be pretty much set... Oh and i might consider a 10" sub. But thats if the speakers still sereously lack bass

Is an amp pushing 50 RMS to each speaker enough to power those Infinity Perfects you were talking about? I know the range is 25-100. But I dont want any distortion.

as long as you have 75% of power you will be fine, the 62.5is run at 75 RMS, yeah wonderful speakers the back passengers can hear music now for me .haha

So what does a pair of these cdts in a 6.5 component setup cost?

Nevermind, just found em...are these the 'bottom of the line' ?

midbass of course. why would i ask a 6.5" speaker to play bass? Then again, there are people who dont run subs, they shouldnt run infinity either...

So, do these CDTs sound REALLY REALLY good? The reason I ask is because I'm looking to buy some 6.5 separates soon....I've heard people say that Infinity Kappas blow...but I swear by them, and have NEVER had anything bad to say about them. What other speakers are worth looking into?

i personally like my rockford fosgates... I have the power components in the back, they sound incredible! I got the components with the tweeter inside them. Now i need some good components for the front, a 10 " bazooka sub, and my car dynomatted, and im set... Thats why im asking about the Kappas. i love highs, and mids (im a trance person) And sub wise i like it to be low, and punchy. (Cant stand Bass in Rap, makes stomach hurt) Thats why im going little for the sub

to answer jmal, yes the cdt's sound good, and from what people describe their setups to be like, you won't hear any testimonials...like lexx with his bazooka sub lol (i'm not hating negro). no really, throw out infinity and bazooka and dynamat out the window. cdt, and second skin. period.

Hmmmm...I'm up for a change...maybe I'll go with these CDTs when the time comes. Also I noticed dynamat is ridiculously expensive, for what it really is....how is the second skin on price?

Jmal... just installed 6.5 62.5i kappas all around in my 95 maxima this morning... the install is a pain in the a$# but the kappas sound great. My advice is the kappas... clear sound & more than enough bass.

They freeze in the winter

The only complaint I have for my Infinity Kappa's is that they can freeze after going through a car wash. Every time I get my car washed and the outside temp drops into the teens ot twenties, my Kappa's freeze and don't work the next morning. After my car warms up in the sun, the speakers defrost and work again. The factory non-bose speakers never froze and I never heard anyone elso on the org talk about it using other speaker brands.

I put my money into a set of MB Quarts a while back and I never looked back. In the same price range as Kappa's. Definately worth looking into. However, I would definately suggest a nice 4 channel amp to puch them. If youre gonna do it, do it right!....just my 2 cents. Good luck on your selection, im sure you'll love the dramatic increase in sound quality either way.

Infinity cones are crap....Kicker Kx's are some of the nicest sounding sets for the $$ IMO in comparison- I had Kappas in my Toyota(bright highs, lacking mids), References in the rear deck of my MX6 and cones gave way only after 4 months of NJ summer heat- cracked like egg shells- complete crap
