Is this true?

I was talking to a crutchfield advisor. He told me that I will get line noise if I use the PAC AOEM-NIS2 with an aftermarket amp and speakers. Is this true? I don't know if I should believe him or not. I am new to car audio. Please advise.

mostly depends on the rest of the install. Although the PAC "adaptor" isnt even needed....

I use that harness, no problems here. It's hooked up to an Xtant 1001d w/ 3 JLAudio 12s. Also make sure you run the power wire down the opposite side of your car that you run the RCAs to further reduce line noise.

I also have the PAC AOEM-NIS2. No noise from it. Though the remote turn on wire (blue/white stripe) didn't work with the CD funtion. So I just tapped into the rear Bose sub power wire.

I doubt Crutchfield carries PAC so he may have wanted to sell you something else.

I have the PAC AOEM-NIS2 installed with my Bose and there's no line noise at all. I think it sounds great. In fact, I used to have a Blaupunkt HU installed and had a lot of engine noise with that. Putting the Bose back in and using the AOEM-NIS2 actually solved the problem for me.

Can you further explain this? I was under the impression the adaptor was needed to level out the signal to the amp.
