Howdy all:
I have just finished installing a 3/4" piece of MDF on the seatback of my 96 Maxima. I have two MTX amps to mount along with distribution blocks. Do I need to use 1/2" or 3/4" wood screes. I am thinking that because they have to go through the feet of the amps and blocks I should be able to use the 3/4"?? But I want to check first because I do not want to screw it up. If the suggestion is to go with 1/2" are they strong enough to hold amps up against the seatback without falling off.
As always I appreciate any feedback you can offer.
Best regards,
tony

usually the 3/4" screws will hold fine, but I actually recommend drilling through to the other side, then mounting them with longer machine screws and t-nuts.
Cost is considerably more, but it's very secure and looks great compared to something fastened together with black drywall screws!
