i had a dimming problem and also the amp/hu going into protection, im running a 5 farad capacitor so i took it to my installer today and i saw the meter reading at 12.8 volts when i was reving the car upto 3k...how much is it to replace an alternator? because im thinking thats where my problem is comin from...or maybe even one of those audio alternators?

 

5farad cap slowly but surely did more damage to your alternator, caps are added strains
