having a problem installing a sub to my stock bose system wonder if any one can help or get me a link on how to install it

i did the same setup with my 2001 and came across some problems, even when installed professionally...

 

There's plenty of information on the first four or so pages of this section. Look through them first. If that doesn't help, tell us what kind of amp, etc. you're using b/c the info can be different for different set-ups.

 

i had it hooked up to a switch where i could turn the sub on or off. It was kinda neat, cuz it sounded good. I had a 10inch alpine type R and a 480 watt sony xplode amp, and after about 5 minutes of good bass it would cut out, and it was vented good so that wasnt the problem, i could never figure it out..

 

I've done it with two different amp/sub/connection combos and haven't had one problem. It's not hard at all to do correctly.
