what are you guys using to keep your sub box from moving around in your trunk? ive got my 2 ten inch sub woofers in back, and the box just moves around a lot. im just wondering what you guys use to keep it stationary.

sheer weight

box and sub prolly weighs a good 80 pounds...kinda broke that cardboard under the carpet

but i would try to L-brackets to secure your box down.

total my subs and box is prolly 150+ lbs, so that doesnt do it. the trunk goes up at a slight angle, which i think causes it. i thought about L - Brackets, but wasnt sure how they would hold up. Hmmmm....

you need more than t he weight of the box unless its shaped into the trunk. get some cheap plywood and put it under the trunk then drill the l brackets into it. no more problems for me.

In my 01 i have hooks for the cargo net and wrapped the cargo net pretty nice around the sub and it holds it really well right up against the back seat.

L-brackets would work and look best, i use 1 long bungee cord and strecth it across the width of the trunk, looks retarded but i dont care its not for show really

I used L brackets too. I just secured them into the wooden cover for the spare though. I was scared to put self tapping screws into the metal.
Is it safe to drill into the rear area of the trunk floor?

yeah it should be ok, just make sure you don't hit anything important like fuel lines, brake lines, etc etc. also paint over any exposed metal to prevent rusting.
