Has anyone seen or heard anything about the new line of Eclipses? I went to a shop that sotcks them yesterday and they were dumping the older models and getting ready for a shipment of the new releases. I saw a few things in the buyers guide about the new line, but no reviews or anything of course. Anyone had their face in front of the new models yet? The guy had the equivalent to the 55430, but I'm looking for the big bad boy, the 55060 equivalent. I don't know the actual model number though. Any info would be great if not, then I'll just have to go back later and hope the guy has them installed in their board. Thanks again!!

Say, a little OT here, but are you going to the meet on the 28th? I was definitely considering it. Let me know! I would love to see the Eclipse.

 

As a matter of fact, Dusty, I am going to be at the 4/28 meet. Who knows? I might be the sole 3rd Gen there. Rest assured, the Eclipse (and its remote) will be in the car for you to check out.

 

Very, very cool!!! I would hope that you are not the only 3rd gen representative, but who knows!? I don't think that I will be the lone 5th gen rep either, but then again...who knows!? I look forward to seeing you (and the Eclipse) there!!

 

I just purchased the 8051 2001 model from a pace in Anaheim for $549 +tax. I haven't had it installed yet because I'm waiting to get a freeair sub for the rear deck. The head unit is sweet though can't wait to see it in action, i'm really tired of the Bose radio although it doesn't sound that bad for stock.

 

Too bad Eclipse is slow to update their website with the new products.
