easy way to rewire a bose to nonbose?

I think I am going to bite the bullet and just rewire the entire sound system. I will be removing all the bose crap and putting in new. Does anyone have any suggestions on making this process easier? Is it possible to remove the bose amp and connect the wires pre bose amp to the wires post amp (simply bypassing the amp)? I will have a new HU and new speakers. The speakers are running off the HU so I don't see why I would need any new heavy duty wiring.... I only want to do this want and just want a basic sound system with some SQ...

Yes...the Bose amp on the rear deck will have 8 input wires and 8 outputs, i.e. a (+) and (-) for each speaker. You can just connect the wires at the amp and be done with it. I usually pull the deck and look at the colors matching them to the wiring harness, and do the same when replacing the speakers, just look at the colors and write em down, then connect em all at the amp. But if you dont want to do all that im sure someone can tell you the wiring colors or you can find them online.

You don't need to pull the HU for that. Just look at the wires pre-amp and compare them with the two getting to the speakers. Those are your speaker wires. Splice them into the amp harness and you are done.
