sound deadening 5th gen- how many sq. ft?
I am going to edead my 5th gen. My rear deck is bad! I am planning on doing 2 layers on the entire trunk and 1 layer on each side of the door (so 2 layers for the doors) and a single layer on the floor. I see online that 100sq. ft and 50sq. ft are the choices. Will 100 sq. ft. cover the entire car and is 2 coats on the trunk and doors cover the rattles from a single 10 in the trunk and 6.5's in the doors off an aftermarket HU? Thanks as always...

i ordered 100sq ft of fatmat the other day should be coming in soon, i too have the saem question. everyone i know says 100 is enough for multilayering the entire car with leftovers so we'll see. what i wanna see are some PICS of a stripped 5th gen before and after deadening, that'd help a lot. What i don't know is whether or not to remove that clear plastic lining on the doors before i deaden or to just deaden right on top of it...
