Help a newbie with an amp?

Hey guys, time to put my system together. I've purchased a pair of Infinity Perfect 6.1s for the front and a pair of infinity kappas three ways for the back.

Now i read that infinity perfect 6.1s have 100 watts rms
and the 3 ways have 75 watt rms.

Does this mean i should be looking for a 75/4 amp?? Could you recommend me an amp?

Thanks.

well if the 6.1s' require a 100 watts rms, and you're planning on using one amp for all 4 of your speakers, you're going to need a amp that is 100/4. I bet the kappas max wattage is way above a 100 so you don't have to worry about them blowing.

Find out what the max is for both the perfect and kappa. And choose an amp accordingly.

Yeah go ahead and get something with 100x4. It's always better to have more power then less. I have a set of Mb quart reference components running off 50x2 amp and they sound incredible. Could be because I have them running on a nice PPI amp. A quality amp may advertise less watts then a cheap amp,but the power is pure.
