And then the execs at Eclipse can say, "oh boy I can't wait for Pioneer to come out with a new navi. system so we can buy it." Thanks!

Oh, "Fast and the Furious"! My bad, please retract that last statement.
right now i have the scoche (sp?) kit here. when i install the tv this week ill let you know how it goes putting it in the lower din. if you get the gxe dash kit(the best option but most $$$), you can def. put it in the lower din.

Is this the kit I would need to install it in the lower Din?

Why is it that the vents are a part of the dash assembly? And why does the Metra kit only allow upper din install?

Ok. Something makes me think they are going to have the metra kit. Are there any other drawbacks of having a monitor in the upper din other than blocking the vents completely?
well im going to put my tv in the lower din because it wont block the vents as much, is less visible to cops, and easier to use the touchscreen. however, it will be harder to see while driving.

Ok, then I will make sure they use the Scosche kit. Congrats on your TV, how did the install go?
OIC. So you have it in your possession but not installed. Very nice, you can read through the manual in excitement for your pre-Christmas day! What unit do you have, BTW?
oh yeah ive t aken it out of the box and inspected everything. its hidden in my room right now.
pioneer avh-p6600 dvd. want the unit you have but couldnt afford it/didnt think it was worth the extra $. although the custom backrounds are sweet on your unit...
