installing new head unit with car that has bose....

Ok i have a nice JVC head unit and i want to put it in my car that currently has the bose system. I got the wiring harness, and the antenna adapter. I didn't splice the harness because i wasnt sure if i have to. But i have everything hooked up, i get power, it functions fine, but no sound comes out. there is also a weird thing coming out of the antenna adaptor that ive never seen before, and i dont know where to hook it up to, but i dont think i need to anyway. Y am i not getting sound? anyhelp, or links would be helpful. I already searched for a thread on this topic, but i couldnt find anything.

You should post this in the audio forum at the bottom of the main forum page. You will get better answers to your question there.

you need a PAC converter, hi-lo converter. youll need to splice everything and hook it up into here to use teh bose. im using a JVC head unit in combo with the bose system, works real well no complaints here. just make sure you splice the remote lead and antenna power into the same wire.
