newbie

a few questions. im planning on getting a couple fosgate stage 1 15's, and the Alpine MRP-M350 to power them(parallel wiring). i am also waiting on a CDA-9827. Would this be a decent system? also, is there anyone on the .org that could get me a good deal for all of this? i am also planning on building a custom box, and i was wondering how strong i should make it... help appreciated in advance.

rockford sub? i dont know man... how much do you want to spend? and a 15 isnt really all that good in a max trunk, not that much air to move. Youd be better off with 2 12s.

I'm pretty sure you'd want to repalce the bose speakers if you're replacing everything else. I just redid my system from bose, and the impression I got was I really should replace everything. I was thinking about changing everything but the speakers, but a shop warned me against it, so I just put some pioneer's in.

You'd definately want to replace the blowz and get some upgraded speakers.

Get 2 subs, a nice amp, 4 speakers, another amp and a HU and you'll have one kick **** system.

im not getting why u would sacrifice quality for "pimp" cause then when ur showing off and someone is like wow a 15 and this other kid pops his trunk shows off 2 12's that sound twice as good whos gonna be pimp then? idk just my 2 sence get 2 GOOD 12's a high quality amp to power them and replace the head unit and interios since without proper RCA signol it will never reach potential

eh.. a 15" brahma ported with about 400 watts will smoke my sealed 12's with 600 anyday... ask hitman. but yeah get some decent 12's... hopefully less chance of blowing the subs if you have 2 of them.

I definitely agree. If you've got the money to spend, go with 2 12" Brahmas, a new HU and a nice amp. Also, since your spending all your money all ready, spend a little more and replace the bose, you wont regret it.
