electrical nuts come in...

trying to run a 9v ohm meter off my car. why kind of resistor do i need to convert the 12v the gives off to the 9v i need. the meter is for my subs temp sender. i just want to mount my meter permanently and get rid of using 9v batteries. what are my options power wise?

you would need just a little more than a resistor i would think. Since the car's voltage system fluctuates between 12V-14.4V you might risk damage to the meter. I would say that you would need a simple voltage regulator circuit set at 9V.

bump anyone else have any other ideas?
