Opinions on Alpine CDA9831

I plan on purchasing this pretty soon for myself as a graduation present. Does anyone have this particular model? How is it, was installation smooth when installing these. I still have my stock speakers and sub. All i need is an adapter i believe to make this work. How's the sound quality even with stock speakers with this unit? Thanks for your help.

Quick question on this unit. Does the buttons glow blue. It seems it would with the 4 blue shaded buttons on it. But in a description i read, it says "Black face with green illumination buttons".

buttons are green, the four big buttons can change color, from reddish pink, green, blue, orange and a few others. the headunit is nice, go for it. i have the same one. crossover control and such are awesome.

if you plan on keeping your bose speakers and sub, i believe this adapter is the one to use. Read this thread.
