Well I just bought myself some mb quart components and since I have a non bose maxima I'm not sure where to mount the tweeters

also, how do I go about cutting into the door/pillars so that it looks clean?

 

you could put it on that piece thats right above the door and behind the side mirrors, if theyll fit. thats the only place i could think of right now

 

I put mine in the door.



If it doesn't work because domain sucks, just copy and paste.

 

put mine on the piece above the door for the mirrors. figured if i wanted to sell my car and keep my system they would be cheap to replace since i had to drill some holes in them.

 

Just keep what these posters have said in your mind while making a decision. If you put them in the doors, you'll either have to sell the car with them in there or pay an arm and a leg to have the door panel replaced. Personally, I would probably opt for 2 Da Max's location.

 

although if i want to sell the car I can just buy a couple of tweeter grills and cover up the holes...

anyway, do you guys think the sound is best if mounted on the doors?

 

once its close to your ears thats all that matters. i have coaxials in the front so the tweeters are basically on the speaker itsefl. even though its at the bottom of the door it stil sounds goo.

 

You can move the tweeters around while they're in their spot so you can position them to face towards you.

 

Mine were put in the stock A-Pillar. However I assume you probably dont have the same luxury.

 

Yeah, that is where i put mine... it still looks clean, and its a good level for them to sit at!
