help with head unit!!
I know it should be in the audio section...but I need a quick answer on what the black two-prong connector is in the back of the stock head unit?
my new head unit doesn't work and I was wondering if it has to do with that two-prong connector that is black. when i put on the two white connectors it didn't fire up, when I tried the two prong it did, and just bought a harness for the alpine hu and it doesnt come with a way to attach the black two-prong connector, do i need a special part or what?
thanks guys.

you need a double diversity antenna apapter. the 2 prongs are for you antennas, you have one in the rear windsheild and the antenna itself. get the adapter and your headunit will work, if not check the inline fuse for the headunit.

heres a tip:to get better tuner reception when using an aftermarket antenna adapter wrap a few strands of wire w/out insulation around the two prongs on the original antenna plug and then plug into the adapter. You only need about 6in. of wire. Also the factory head unit doesnt have a true ground it uses the antenna for a ground. So when installing an aftermarket HU make your own ground. I used one of the 10mm bolts on the tranny hump.
