hey these good subs

Hey i cna get 2 10inch subs for 160 $$ with a box

http://www.jlaudio.com/subwoofers/10w0.html

What amp should i run on these and also anyone seen someone named Tommy Ali on maxima.org he ripped me on a amp.

However if these subs are not good i hae $160 dollars to spend and i want to purchase 2 10 " subs any suggestions?

they have awesome sq but those are kind of old, i believe they dont even have a version 2 of that one, if you want decent speakers for that money try purcashing 2 10" Alpine type Rs, a couple of my friends run them in a sealed box and they have superb sq.

Well, I think you would have a helluva time finding two type R's for 160. The JL's aren't terrible, especially for $160. Like thephatOne said, they are kind of old though. Also, you might want to question why 2 of them are being sold for so cheap. If you are absolutely set on having 2 10's, then for $160, I think the JL's are your best choice. If you are willing to look at other setups, a single 12" Shiva from www.adireaudio.com and this JBL amp http://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLBP3001Z would work pretty nicely in a sealed box. Personally, I think I would save up for a little longer and buy something a little newer/nicer. Good Luck.

lol, i think im going to cut myself off from the org audio room. i mentioned my system and 10 people want it... its all good though. i really think adire,kicker, cdt, jbl need to sponser me. wait until i post about my Tv setup. anyway, 300 watts to each shiva in 1.25cuft per sub sealed is perfect.

tv=850 (optional )
cdt comps= about 150 shipped
cdt coaxials about 50 shipped
amp= around 200 and then about 120 for the component amp.
subs=250 shipped
box= price pending on if you make it or not.
wiring= 80 maybe?
these are rough estimates. you can obviously cut corners by not getting the tv.

Oh no he didn't!!! He sold you that Volfenhag??? Damn, he tried to sell me that same crap too, even said he will refund my money if I didn't like it.

Always research the product you are buying before getting it or ask everyone here about it first before paying for an item. Not the other way around.

how do you plan on running 400 watts to a shiva when your amp pushes 200 at 4 ohms son? shivas are on back order... in the mean time find tommy ali ad hunt him down for your cash back.

Get a power hungry sub and you will have no choice but to get a big amp as well. Get anything cheap and your sub is gonna sound like a Radio Shack speaker.

I paid $179 for the JBL new. But I wouldn't use that amp for anything like the Shiva or Brahma. JBL only puts out 300watts RMS and even if it is putting out all 300 watts, its not enough still for optimum performance. I am using the same amp to drive one RF HX2 10" sub (500 wRMS - continuous) and it's barely moving it. I'm getting something else for it soon.

not bad. but try sounddomain and do a pricematch on it...also a thing to note, it has no subsonic filter but if you are going sealed you dont need one.
