Need Advice!

I am in a really deep hole now. My Bose radio is dead! I've looked for places that repair them but no one does. I also called Nissan just for the heck of it but for a new Bose system they wanted $1,100 and for repairs over $400.

I went to Circuit City yesterday but the guy was like you can't buy a new head unit because your Bose speakers would burn them. So I also need new speakers, after installation and parts my total comes up to over $600. I don't want to spend that much into audio. In my Altima I was decked out with audio but in the Max I went toward more performance and looks.

Now I don't know what to do. There is no way I am going to spend that much cash into something I don't care for. Those that played around with the Bose radio, got any advice or things for me to check out? If not should I just buy a Bose radio of the org? And are all 95-99 Bose radios compatiable with each other?

Thanks in advance.

No my Bose is dead and I don't want to get new speakers. I want to find someone selling their Bose but I'm not sure if a 99 would fit mine. I called Nissan and they said "Trial and error."

Do I really have to replace all my speakers if I get a new head unit? Isn't there anything else I can do? I don't want to throw away all that extra money away just for speakers cause mine are fine.

from what i have seen the bose system uses an amplifier which is not compatable with after market head units. In some cases an adapter can be used but most of the time u have to go around the stock stuff and use new speakers. 2 pairs of 6.5" decent coax;s will only set u back $100 bux, def something to think about. If u want i have 2 new sets of cdt audio cl-6x's 6.5" coax's i can sell ya for $100 shipped.

1) get a new headunit ~$100-150(if all you want is sound)
2) get a PAC-OEM2 ~$20-35(if you want to use your stock bose 1ohm speakers)
