the big three?
ok. i guess 4 gauge is what is needed. my battery ground looks like it's already 4 ga. (it's black with a red streak).
I can't even begin to see the wires for the alternator, there seems to be two clip-wire bundles on it, and a really short looking skinny(14ga?)ground wire connected to it.
has anyone here done this mod, and how long did it take? and if done correctly, will this help a bit with dimming headlites?
thanks.

are you running a secondary battery? If so are you using an isolator? other than that if not you can look at a ground to

Those are where I did mine in my last car but i also ran a fully isolated supply for my stereo stuff.

okay thanks Terran
but seems like it doesnt really help that much aside from having a smoother idle...
i need this because my amplifier is dimming my lights like crazy...I originally was going for another alternator, but I was told that this 'Big Three' was almost as good for helping with dimming lights?
anyway, how many amps does our stock alternator put out?
Thanks y'all!

I don't think that thread was in regards to a system though. It was just about a grounding kit. I'm not sure, but I think that is the big three, which should help with dimming lights. If you're really overpowered for your alternator then you will have to get a bigger one. If you have trouble finding one you could PM krismax as I believe he had a thread when he got one awhile ago. I think he got 200amps.
