I believe it for addition for aftermarket sub.
I just purchased PAC OEM-1 it's for installation for sub. It's pretty much plug and play. You plug in harness into there and the output is rca for amp.
What year is this radio from?

Correct it 'Converts' and is also an aftermarket product. So hence my original post of saying there is no sub output on the HUs. If that was the case then All HUs would have preouts as an option since LOCs can also be *added*.
