I have a jvc cd player that is a few years old. It does have a set of rca preouts but they are not the high voltage type. I have 2 amps hooked up to them, a punch 250 and a punch 800. I bought a set of splitters from radio shack to make the 1 set of outputs look like 2, now, i have the radio set to play at max volume when it is at 45 (max is 50). I have to turn the gains up on the amps almost to the full position before all the power is put out from the amp. Should i get another cd player with high voltage preouts so i will not have to turn the gains up so high.?
