Kenwood x979 is what i'm playin with now in my Max..i had a pioneer b4 but it wouldn't play some discs if they were scratched a little and load up time was too much...i'm loving this kenwood and all its features..check it out on ebay

depends on what you want. kenwoods have fast mp3 reading but i find their reliability to be quite poor. pioneer seems to be the most user friendly while being rock solid. the alpine allows for more fine tuning, and eclipse....well the new ones are ugly the old ones are alright but you have to spend a lot not to have a pass thru (if that matters to you). blah blah blah blah blah i'm stupid
