Static On Radio When Defrost On

Static On Radio When Defrost On

HI GUYS, I JUST REALIZED THAT I GET STATIC ON THE RADIO AM/FM WHENEVER I TURN ON THE REAR DEFROST. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS BEFORE?

I've never actually seen this before, but I'd say it's possible. I'm guessing it could be something in the wiring...

Do you have the stock Bose system or aftermarket?

Maximas have a weird *** "double diversity" or some crap like that antenna, where it has the regular antenna and one incorporated into the rear window. If you're on a stock radio, theres probably bad wiring ot that antenna. Get an aftermarket unit, thye don't use the second antenna.

Ok sorry. I had to do that. Now I have the "Official Caps Lock Post" to link to.

You have to get an adapter to adapt it the normal antenna interface?. I found out the hard way that (at least in my car) the radio will not function if there is no antenna plugged in.

If you go aftermarket headunit yes you have to get an adapter. If you're going aftermarket antenna with stock radio, you need help.

i have a cd,radio,tape clarion headunit from a 2001 altima, i put an antenna adpter to covert the 2 prong wiring from car to a 1 prong soi fit the altimas HU. an i just noticed that when the rear defrost is on i get static
