Mtx 81000d

I have two amps in my car right now, a Mtx 6304 and a Mtx 801d. I have already ran a 4 gauge power wire to power both amps. I was wondering if it's okay to run the MTX 81000d with 4 gauge power wire? The manual says it requires 1/0 gauge. What would happen if I just used the 4 gauge power wire. I also installed a cap in my car, just curious do I need to recharge the cap if my battery dies, or if I change my battery?

no just leave the cap it will charge back on its own. it depends how many rms your amp is pushing, if its over 700 i guess you will need a lower awg. the lower the guage the less resistance the more power your amp will get to breathe freely
