Ne one run 1/0 gauge in 3rd gen?

I'll be wiring my 89 gxe with 1/0 guage wire for the amp power and big three, I was wondering if anyone else has done this and if so where they ran it and any trouble spots.

Thanks,
Pat

in my 97 i ran it into the fender and through a gromit that other wires are going through and then through my cabin to the rear going down the driver's side. i'v done it with 4 and 8. 1/0 will just be a little more of a pain. i don't know if this helps but check your fender...

Fosgate Fan,
How much sound deadening did you need to use in your car? My whole front dash and rear deck rattle alot with just stock speakers so I'm sure I'm gonna need a decent amount to alteast just get the rattles out.

funny that you mention that...i don't have any sound deadening...yet. i get some vicious rattles when i have it very loud, and my rear deck is flapping all over. you might have to ask matt93se for that. he sound deaden his whole car.

Ok, I just figured with the power a 12" brahma puts out you would have already. I'm just gonna wait till after i get everything installed then once the snow melts and it gets warmer and I don't mind being out workin on my car for a few hours I'll buy some peel & seal and just get rid of the rattles. I'll worry about really deadening it this summer. But I'm sure as soon as I install my system I'm gonna hate all the rattles. I'm dropin in 2 12" kicker solo baric L5's with a hifonics 1000watt amp.

yeah, you will notice rattles from places you've never imagine rattling when you put out enough bass.

The whole rear of my car sounds like it's gonna break apart when giving my subs half power. That's from outside of th car. From the inside you can hear the rattling. I thought that was odd.

I have a run of 1/0 guage along the drivers side with no problems. I also ran 1/0 in a friends 3rd gen w/out any problems. Rattles??? The pressure from my subs rattled my rear deck so hard it broke a piece off my brake light that holds it on the deck.

Yeah I took all the bottom panels off on the driver side of the car and running 0 gauge doesn't look like a problem at all. Now I just need a day that its alittle warmer, this weekend looks ok, but since when can the weather channel tell the weather.
