Rear veiw camera, turns on and all i see is black? what is wrong?

Rear veiw camera, turns on and all i see is black? what is wrong?
For those of you who have installed a rear camera in your maxima, i have been trying to install mine over the last few days slowley, and i got everything rana nd hooked up and now when the camera gets juic it just turns the screen black. What could be wrong? please help me out if you can.

waiting on my screen.....

??? tho...how is the power hooked up? I haven't looked at it real close, but it looks like an RCA type adapter?

I dont know if this helps but I know when I hooked up a camera to my indash monitor I had to switch the input between NTSC and PAL to get the picture to show up on the monitor.. Worth a try and the only thing I can think of..
