I just recently received a catalog from Crutchfield and they have a limited time offer:

Buy 1-Sony XM-2200GTX Amp for $199
and get 2-12" Sony XS-L1200B subs for an extra $20.

I know that Sony's are not the best choice for car audio but I figured this is a good deal since I already have my wires hooked up from my old setup that I sold a while ago. So all I need to do is buy a box for the subs. What do you guys think? Is this a good deal?(Shipping is FREE)

 

1) Its sony, so why would you want to buy it?
2) Its crutchfield, so why would you want to buy from them?

ok ill elaborate. You should save your money, Sony amps are garbage, the subs might sound okay but if you get one good 12, you can be almost as loud, have MUCH better sound quality, and save trunk space. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Sony...I could go on (that amp wont run at 2 ohms, itll cut out if the gains are up, etc), so do some searching for some other good deals, there are plenty out there.

nothing. but for the prices you can buy in store and its easier if a warranty repair is in order. i use SD and pricematch.

Nothings wrong with crutchfield if you like paying way more then you should...especially their catalog, it pisses me off just looking at it.

The other thing is that I have a skewed view from working at CC with discounts, and getting discounts at a few shops in tampa, one of which I can get cost on diamond and Alpine. I tend to forget that retail prices make the world go round lol.
