URGENT help picking head unit, giga-mp3 jvc kd-dv5100
Hey guys so like most of us with stock bose it just crapped out on me so time for a new head unit.
my carputer project with gps is 35% done and im about ready to give up on it and now i need a new hu, not cool
Anyways what sparked my interest the most was the what seems to be new JVC KD-DV5100

it's 300 bucks and actually can read mp3s off of a burnt dvd. Quite honestly I'm new to head units and this is gonna be my first project so I'm super new to this, any tips greatly appreciated!
What are your guys experiences with JVC hu's? This one seems pretty cool seeing as it has all those features and video outs so I can use the lcd screen i got for my carputer for dvds. Not needing to buy a flip out unit.
Also from what i know i will need the hu obviously, the hu>bose adapter from crutchfield which is 50.00 (best place to buy, better anywhere else?) also the S-WIX unit from pac audio to get my steering wheel controls to work...and then the din adapter for my car, any recomendations on what looks the nicest (ie 02/03 navi one or just aftermarket one)
thanks any help really appreciated again

my friend has a jvc unit in his cherokee. hes had it for about three years with no problems. crutchfield is definitely the way to go. they have vehicle specific instructions and and include free wiring harnesses and installation kits. hooking it up yourself is easy. its all color coded.
